Butters AMT is ...
Julian Knowles (left), Technical Director, and Bob Burns, Managing Director, of Butters AMT – now offering seven years' warranty on the company's single- and three-phase professional MIG welding machines.
Butters AMT offers seven years’ warranty on its single- and three-phase professional MIG welding machines. All the sevens: • Celebrating seven years of trading, • Seven-years’ warranty • For professional MIG equipment purchased in ’07 Droitwich, UK – 15 December 2006. Throughout 2007, Butters AMT, the UK-based designer and manufacturer of professional and cost-effective welding equipment, will be offering seven years’ warranty on key components within its single- and three-phase professional MIG welding machines. Butters AMT’s Managing Director Bob Burns comments: “We’re very proud of the quality and reliability of our professional MIG welding machines and we’re prepared to do what no other manufacturer has done to date: give seven years’ warranty on some of the ‘hardest working’ components in MIG welding machines.” The professional range comprises 18 machines in total and includes the company’s flagship product, the AMT 450 S. This is a high-performance, three-phase machine with an output range of 50 to 450A, and outputs 420A at 60% duty cycle. It takes 0.8 to 2.4mm diameter wire, comes with a WF 500/4 wire-feed as standard and features Butters AMT’s ‘soft arc’ transformer technology. The unit is available in air-cooled and water-cooled versions and features a digital display. “The AMT 450 is one of our best selling professional MIG products in the industrial sector,” comments Burns. “It’s rugged, reliable and has shipping hooks for easy transportation. Giving it a seven-year warranty is close to giving it a life-time warranty when you consider our machines are often put to work in extremely harsh environments, such as off-shore oil rigs.” Another popular product to come with seven years’ warranty during ’07 is the AMT 181, a recent addition to the AMT range. It is a single-phase machine with an output range of 30 to 180A, and outputs 165A at 20% duty cycle. Suitable wire sizes are 0.6, 0.8 and 1.0mm and it too features Butters AMT’s ‘soft arc’ transformer technology. Also of importance is the AMT 181’s large, heavy-duty cabinet with wheels. Burns notes: “We’re great believers in safety in the workplace and the cabinet of the AMT 181 is large enough to take a full gas bottle, without risk of toppling over when wheeled from job to job. This feature, along with its electrical performance, makes the AMT 181 extremely versatile, and it’s already proving very popular in automotive workshops.” Other products covered by the seven-year warranty include the AMT 211, 220, 241, 271, 311 and 411 single-phase machines and the AMT 260, 3200, 3205, 360, 4005 and 550 three-phase machines. Parts covered by the seven-year warranty include the original equipment manufacturer’s (OEM’s) mains transformer, mains rectifier stack and choke. Burns: “We invest considerable resources into product development and we believe our professional MIG welding machines are the most reliable in the industry – which is why we’re prepared to be first to market with a seven-year warranty on the parts most crucial to a MIG welding machine.” The seven-year warranty applies to the products in the company’s range of single- and three-phase professional MIG welding machines, and those wishing to take advantage of this outstanding offer must purchase during 2007. If buying through a distributor, purchasers must register their purchase with Butters AMT. In addition, the warranty is subject to the units being regularly serviced - plus other terms and conditions. Burns concludes: “2007 marks the arrival of a new Butters AMT, with fresh thinking and fresh commitments, and the seven-year warranty is just one of the many value-added propositions we have in store for the New Year.” About Butters AMT Established in year 2000, Butters AMT specialises in the supply, service and repair of cost-effective, high-quality manual and automated welding and cutting equipment.
